Coronado Islands

Just south into Mexico sit the Coronado Islands. Rugged, pristine and strangely beautiful, these islands offer a rare opportunity to kayak in a wildlife setting that is normally only found in exotic, far away places.

Prepare yourself for a magical day among distant islands! We use a Mothership to transport ourselves and our kayaks to a small chain of Mexican islands. The Mothership allows us to access a place we might not otherwise get to. It also allows us a great deal of flexibility - dropping us off and picking us up wherever conditions allow. We'll spend the day exploring the islands and enjoying the amazing wildlife that thrives here. We're likely to see dolphins, whales, mola mola (sunfish), seals, sea lions, and elephant seals, not to mention a variety of bird species. Your naturalist guides will help you appreciate the beauty of this place.

We'll board our comfortable Mothership for the hour or so drive to the islands. Breakfast pastries and coffee are provided so you can breakfast while scanning the sea for whales and dolphins. We'll spend a couple of hours exploring in the morning, returning to the boat for a hot, hearty lunch (provided). After a few more hours of exlporation in our kayaks, we'll load the kayaks back up and head home. Beer, cheese and crackers will be served on deck during the ride home.
