March 22nd - 24th, 2013

The Southwest Paddle Fest is held each March in beautiful San Diego, CA on Mission Bay at Campland On The Bay.  Over the last decade, it has become one of the west coast's premier paddlesports events!  Join industry experts for an exciting weekend of kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddleboarding!   Enjoy demos, clinics, "tent talks", and social gatherings with other paddlers during this information-packed event.  Bring the family; bring the dog; and join us!

2013: March 23

2014: March 29

The Southwest Paddle Fest will be held at Campland on the Bay, on Mission Bay in San Diego. This excellent facility offers comfortable camping for tents and RVs at very reasonable rates. Booking in advance with your registration saves you even more! We look forward to creating a festive environment all day long and even locals may want to stay! "Campland" is far from primitive and you can enjoy hot showers and laundry facilities among the amenities.

Camping: Special rates are available if booked in advance for both Friday and Saturday nights. Tent or RV sites are available for $100 for the two nights for up to 4 people, with parking for 2 cars. If you plan on staying only one night, please book directly with Campland. Additional people are $5/night. Dogs are $3/night. Additional cars may be parked in a nearby lot for $10/night. To get the best rates for camping, please register with us, not Campland. There is a section on the reservation form for camping. If you would like to stay additional nights, please call (619)523-9577. Some participants choose to arrive on Thursday and some people choose to book their campsite through Sunday night to avoid having to pack up and move their vehicles on Sunday morning (Note that you MUST vacate your site by noon on Sunday unless you've paid for it Sunday night. You can park in the main lot, but not in ANY campsite!)

Hotel: If you prefer, there are many to choose from within a 20 minute drive. You are almost certain to find your favorite national chain on "Hotel Circle" just off I-8. Any hotel near Mission Bay, Mission Beach, or Pacific Beach will be 10-15 minutes away. Hotels downtown are about 25 minutes away. There are so many choices, we recommend a internet search - excellent bargains can be had on some of the specialty travel websites.

The Southwest Paddle Fest is held in San Diego, California on beautiful Mission Bay. The festival will once again make use of the exceptional facilities at Campland on the Bay which include 650 feet of beachfront access for kayak and SUP demos, plenty of area for manufacturers booths, acres of protected water for classes, speaker tents, on-site tent or RV camping for as little as $15/person/night, food concessions, laundry, hot showers, game rooms, swimming pools and spas, and entertainment venues!

Please visit Campland's website to learn about park regulations!

PARKING: Campland charges a "day use" fee of $10/car to park in the campground (campers are exempt).  Park outside the campground on surrounding streets to avoid this fee, or park at Aqua Adventures (1548 Quivria Way) and enjoy the free shuttle service!
